We are looking for a Senior Media Manager to provide media leadership within Dagger by applying expertise in all digital media principles to a client’s business. This role works with our Creative and Strategy teams to translate client goals and objectives into actionable items. Under management of the Media Supervisor, the Senior Media Manager role will have high growth opportunities to lead a team of social practitioners toward client success as the department grows, while fostering integration and communication across all departments and partner agencies.
You are accountable for:
Guiding and driving media strategies for client account(s) and helping to set overall objectives
Working with Strategy and Creative to ensure media team is providing thought leadership and platform-endemic best practices
Building, maintaining and growing client relationships and client business
Overseeing, authoring and/or constructively editing and reviewing the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, agreements, client memos, and correspondence from within and outside the agency).
Primary contact with Account Management for project initiation/status, setting of realistic timelines, and level-setting expectations and roles for new projects
Preparing plan presentations and overseeing preparation of media plan presentation elements
Supervising, directing and reviewing the development and implementation of specified media plans.
Leading client presentations.
Developing a successful team of media planners through coaching and mentoring; conducting annual performance appraisals and providing regular feedback (future-state)
You are capable of:
Asking thoughtful questions – and LOTS of them!
Managing the scheduling, posting, tracking advertising and compiling performance reports
Leading weekly media meetings with clients and provide insight into weekly online media results
Maintaining knowledge of current online media trends, emerging technology, creative and providing training to Dagger employees when necessary.
Building and maintaining relationships with media publishers and internal agency counterparts
Understanding and adopting new trends and/or processes applying the media company mindset for clients and for Dagger
Reviewing site invoices and work with Operations and Account Service to ensure accurate payment and prepare campaign reconciliations.
Strong team leadership skills, including the capacity to guide junior members of the team.
Must be a self-starter, with strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to dimensionalize strategic direction into a roadmap for both clients and team members
Familiarity with basic accounting/math principles; statistical analysis experience is a plus
Strong time-management and organizational skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects
