About Role

Dagger is looking for a Director, Insights & Analytics who is eager to lead and help develop our fast-growing Analytics team. This person will be highly adept at both hard and soft skills relating to Analytics and will be excited to challenge themselves and others to exceed client goals while growing the department. 

You are accountable for:

  • Crafting overarching data management approach for the agency including vetting tools, process, workflow, prioritization, and timeline

  • Developing and executing robust analytics strategies to meet client needs, including strategic measurement approaches, test design development, defining objectives and KPIs, and optimization metrics based on the client’s business/ marketing goals and direction

  • Work with cross-discipline teams to ensure timely structured reporting, analysis, and delivery of actionable insights and recommendations to measure and optimize marketing activity

  • Developing significant and scalable test designs/learning agendas

  • Designing visually compelling dashboards that cater to a unique audience and channel needs

  • Tracking, analyzing and optimizing campaign performance with high attention to detail

  • Translating large data into insights, recommendations, and easy-to-understand stories

  • Building, optimizing and interpreting social listening queries

  • Partner with inter-disciplinary Strategy and Media counterparts to drive the development of holistic strategies for Dagger’s clients

  • Solving problems for our clients by understanding their needs and translating them into creative solutions

  • Providing thought-leadership, consistently assessing current practices and sharing best practices and market trends

You are capable of:

  • Digesting client goals/objectives, articulating trends and synthesizing technical recommendations based on that input

  • Dimensionalizing strategic direction into a measurement roadmap 

  • Communicating complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Developing benchmarks based upon historical or category data

  • Creating data visualizations that contextualize multiple data points in a single view

  • Digital tagging, tracking, QA, and maintenance

  • Planning and carrying out responsibilities with passion, a can-do attitude, and minimal direction

Must-have experience

  1. Experience working at a digital agency 

  2. Experience working directly with clients to lead measurement and analysis strategy

  3. Channel experience across paid and owned digital channels, with an emphasis on social media

  4. Experience optimizing creative and distribution tactics

  5. Excellent client communication and presentation skills

  6. Strong leadership skills

Preferred skills and experience:

  • B2C and B2B experience

  • Experience with a subset of these tools: Google Data Studio, Tableau, Google Analytics, Spredfast, Sprinklr, Crimson Hexagon, Salesforce Social Studio, Facebook Insights

  • Knowledge and experience with syndicated research sources/tools (e.g. ComScore, Nielsen, GfK MRI, Simmons, etc.)

  • Experience leveraging modern approaches to attribution and data management strategy; including but not limited to:

  • MMM + MTA 

  • Predictive Modeling

  • Suppression Strategies

  • Limitations of Ad Tracking and crafting creative solutions to deliver for our  clients 

  • Managerial experience and/ or a passion for mentoring and coaching others
